July was a very eventful month! We've had a blast this summer and have enjoyed the break from school. Here are a few of our fun adventures!
Provo Parade=Lots of BYU!
The Provo parade was quite the event leading up to it. Sunday night before the parade University Avenue was packed with people camping out overnight for the parade. It was nuts, ive never seen so many people in Provo, let alone on a Sunday night! We drove down the parade route at 11pm Sunday night and I told Mike it reminded me of Times Square (but without all the flashing lights) just tons of people! We showed up 30 minutes before the parade started Monday morning and still got good seats and a good night sleep in my own bed!
We went camping in the Beaver mountains with the Briggs family. We had a lot of fun, even with the rain pounding our tent all night! Needless to say we were in the trailer with my parents the next night. Mike and I were having such a fun time time and weren't ready to leave, we went to the top of the mountain to get cell service and call work to tell them we were staying an extra day.
Hadley's new "thing" - telling everyone "shhh"
Cute Taylee-playing in the dirt with mom's dish towel
We were the designated bike pushers for a good hour :) So cute how they are holding on to each other!
Genius-set up a projector for the kids to watch a movie so the adults can play games. We had some great games of Hand and Foot going.
The guys played Capture the Flag (in the dark) with these glow sticks. Mike came back with his hoodie ripped open and a bleeding gash in his arm. Boys... :)
The biggest grass fight ive ever seen! There's Mike in the middle of all of it.
Love Hadley's face after throwing grass at Mike!
Mike's a nice uncle, he'd put his head down so Taylee could dump grass on him.
Look at that action!

Camp Cooks! Looks like trouble to me :)

The last picture I got before the crazy rainstorm. We went on a long 4-wheeler ride with about 20 of us. It rained, hailed, lightninged, and thundered. We stopped multiple times to take cover. The best was 15 of us huddling under the port-a-potty bathrooms. We never ate the picnic we packed for the ride, all the kids fell asleep (which was like holding bobble-heads ), I don't know how they slept because it was hailing?? It was pretty miserable and scary during it but funny to think about now. I teased Mike that it was his initiation into the family after 2 years because we had a funny similar experience rafting with his family right after we were married.
We also went to Mike's 10 Year Class Reunion in Clifton!
Mike and Jared (Mike's cousin) showing their Pirate pride!
Mike had 52 people in his graduating class!! There were about 17 of them at the reunion. I couldn't believe how tiny the high school was! It was fun to meet some of his classmates and see the high school.
The night before the reunion we stayed in Malad with Jared and Laura. We had a blast with them!
Went to Preston Rodeo days where Papa Jays Jerky had a booth. Good stuff! My family fights over this any time we bring some back.
Watched the parade with Mike's family.
Preston Parade=Big Tractors!
We then went to the Preston Rodeo. If you are going to go to a rodeo, Preston Idaho is the place to go! We had so much fun! We were right on the front row so we got a little dirty from the dirt being kicked up but we had a blast. The picture above is when I was leaning out to snap a picture and didn't see there was a rider coming up right behind me. They all saw it coming and started to hide from it. I had no idea and got hit by it as soon as I took this picture.
They had a bunch of carnival rides in the park, we went and rode the Ferris wheel.

Sounds like a very fun, eventful summer! Too bad you are in Provo now that we aren't!
